Accessibility
Sewing classes are delivered in English.
There is a gravel area in front of the building, and 10 steps leading into the studio which may be an accessibility concern for those with mobility issues. An image can be provided on request, to see if this will be manageable for you.
Parking is located in a paid car park a short walk away from the studio. Further details of the location are provided after booking.
Before Booking
The sewing class page will specify if food will be provided on the day or if you will need to bring your own food.
Water, tea, coffee, fruit and snacks will always be provided.
Each sewing class page will also specfiy if the pattern and any additional materials are included in the cost of the sewing class, and anything you need to provide will be listed in a prep pack you will recieve before the sewing class begins.
Some sewing classes may require preparation in advance before attending, so please carefully read the description and get in touch if you have any questions.
Your Booking
Bookings are only taken via our website and online booking system.
After booking, the attendant(s) will receive a confirmation of their booking to the email address they provide. This email address is then used to send you the preparation pack in advance of the class, via Mailerlite. If you are not on the mailing list already, this will not add you to the main mailing list.
The preparation pack contains everything you need to know to get ready for your sewing class, exact location of the studio and following the class, a request for feedback via a form.
Cancellations & Refunds
If I have to cancel
In the unlikely event that a sewing class has to be cancelled, attendees will be notified as early as possible.
A full refund, or a space on another date, will be offered in this instance.
Thimble Studios is not liable for any additional losses such as travel and accommodation bookings.
If you can no longer attend
There is a small class size in place to provide a high-quality learning experience for all attendees.
Due to the limited space for each sewing class, we are unable to offer refunds for classes if you are then unable to attend.
If you can no longer attend a class you have booked, please get in touch as soon as possible and we can try to accommodate you on another class within one year of the initial booking, however, this may not always be possible. Alternatively, you may pass your space on the class on to someone else at your own convenience – just let us know in advance so we can make the proper arrangements and change details etc.
Payment Plans & Cancellations
If you are using our payment plan system (GoCardless) but can no longer attend, you will still be responsible for payment in full and the above accommodations can still be made for you.
