Do you sometimes wish you had an expert on hand at home who could solve your dressmaking problems?
Or maybe you get demotivated by fitting challenges?

Would you like to

  • LBe able to choose fabric for your project with ease?
  • LBe able to modify your patterns?
  • LSuccessfully match your favourite prints?
  • LResolve niggling fit issues?

These are some of the common problems I’ve been able to help my students with over the ten years I’ve been teaching.

But here’s the thing.

Starting with a new skill, we don’t know what we don’t know.

We don’t always know what questions we are even meant to ask.

But it takes the seasoned maker a split second to work out the piece of the puzzle you are missing. And give it to you.

I want to help you figure out what matters and what doesn’t,
so you can spend more time making and growing your sewing skills.

This sewing membership is for people who want to make clothes and venture into new sewing territories, all with on tap access to expert guidance.

Your Dream Handmade Wardrobe is waiting for you...

  • LGet help choosing sizes

Ready to Sew: 7 Sew-Along's & counting

Not sure what a Sew-Along is? Read my blog post below to find out more!

The Sewing Toolbox - the techniques you need, in one place

You can access sewing techniques from many different places on the internet, but not all of them are from a trained professional who has a deep understanding of pattern cutting and sewing.

And what if you don’t fully understand and have some questions? Well, you’re on your own.

An example video from The Sewing Toolbox, of how to sew a French Seam.

With the Thimble Studios Sewing Membership, you can:

  • access a library of sewing techniques explained in a clear and accessible way
  • give Camille a message if you don’t understand anything, on tap support is part of your membership!
  • request techniques to be added into the The Sewing Toolbox if they’re not there

Community

We have a lovely and supportive private Facebook group where you can post projects, share resources and cheer each other on with your sewing wins (and commiserate over sewing fails – they happen!).

Facebook not your thing? That’s okay, you don’t need to join in! You’ll still have direct access to Camille for any help you need with your sewing projects!

Thimble Studios Online members also recieve 10% off all in-person classes!

Online Sewing Membership FAQ's

<

Is the sewing membership suitable for beginners?

You can join the membership at all sewing levels, however if you have never used a sewing machine you might want some extra guidance.

Beginners should start with The Sewing Basics, where I cover sewing machine basics, choosing sizes (including taking your measurements), working with patterns and cutting fabric.

The most important thing with the sewing membership is to stay focused on your next objectives, rather than trying to consume all the content in one go.

For this reason, I offer a free 20 minute call when you sign up so I can direct you to the best resources for you and your needs.

I've made a lot of clothes, what is there for me?

The sewing membership works well at all levels.

Maybe you won’t use The Sewing Basics, and that’s fine.

The Toolbox expands with every Sew Along we do, and includes a healthy mix of beginner, improvers, and advanced techniques.

You will be able to take full advantage of suggested variations during Sew Along's.

Focus on pattern fitting techniques, pattern hacking, practice with new-to-you fabric, or get creative with some drafting.

Do I have to take part in the Sew Along's?

You don’t have to participate in the Sew Along projects to make the most of your sewing membership. They may not be for you but that doesn't mean you can't learn some new techniques from them!

Every Sew Along is available to work through at your own pace — fast or slow!

I do bet though you will get totally inspired by seeing what others have made.

Creativity breeds creativity!

<

Is it like a course?

Memberships work differently to courses.

You get to work through at you own pace with no pressure to take part in community activities (i.e. active Sew Along's).

You still get to take advantage of the community support and the implementation system that comes with it.

<
=
Can I watch live classes on replay?

Yes! Everything will be recorded and available to you for as long as you are a member.

<
=
How long do I have to commit?

That’s entirely up to you!

Choose a monthly option and your sewing membership will roll over from one month to the next.

You can cancel at any time, but do bear in mind your access to the member area and Facebook group will end when you cancel.

If you want to commit to long-term benefits, then join the annual option when joining and decide at the end of your year if you wish to renew.

<
=
Do you offer refunds?

I do not offer refunds, but you can cancel at any time.

If you would like to be able to opt-out, it is best to sign up as a monthly member rather than an annual to see if the sewing membership is for you.

If you have any questions before joining, please email me at info@thimblestudios.com and I’ll be happy to answer any queries you may have.

<
=
I don't want to join Facebook, is it still worth me joining?

I totally get not everyone has or wants to be on Facebook.

All the learning content will be on the member’s site (not Facebook) so you can still enjoy all the classes.

For technical help the Facebook group is ideal but alternatively, I will offer to reach me via email or WhatsApp.
