- In our Know Your Fabric masterclass, you’ll be learning from an industry professional and self-proclaimed fabric nerd who’s journey has taken her from fashion construction in France to a West Wales farm to learn about the origin of wool and textiles (that’s me, by the way!).
- You’ll walk away from this fabric masterclass with practical leads for your stash as we do some matchmaking between pattern and fabric.
- Decipher fabric terminology, understand fabric weights and read fabric composition in order to help you independently make the right choices in your fabric selection going forward.
- This sewing class is suitable for any level of sewist, who wants to learn more about the fabric that they work with.

What You’ll Learn in Know Your Fabric
- fabric terminology (woven and stretch fabric)
- how to translate fabric composition into how the fabric might behave (handy for online shopping)
- gain an understanding of fibres, weights and structure
- understand how different fabrics move based on construction
- how to choose the right fabric for your projects
