Beyond Basics Overlocker

• Beyond Basics Overlocker will take you to the next level of your overlocker journey. You can thread it and use it for basic seams (maybe from Conquer the Overlocker?) but now we’re going to make sure you have a solid user foundation, before we add in multiple other seam types to your overlocker repertoire!

• This is the class to take when you really want to level up your home sewing, beyond basic overlocker seams.

• This class is ideal for intermediate sewers who are ready to take the next step in their sewing and overlocking journey. If you’re not sure if that’s you, contact me and we can discuss whether it’s right for you or not! For this class a basic knowledge of using an overlocker is important.

What You’ll Learn on Beyond Basics Overlocker

In the morning, we will brush up on the overlocker settings to make sure you have not been missing out on handy features such as the blade width adjustment, or if you have any niggling tension questions you’d like to resolve we can sort those too!​

​Once we’re all off to a good start, we will venture beyond the basics by learning how to create different types of seams such as: 

• lettuce edge 

• roll hem

• blind hem 

• two thread 

• three thread 

• flatlock 

 After we’ve all practiced and got to grips with the sampling of those seams, we will have a chance to discuss overlocker projects you might have on the go (please bring them!) or get clear on specific sewing techniques such as sewing neckbands.
